Thanks Cathy,
I actually just found them on amazon (limited supply), but they are different shapes, conical and cherry. Which do you have experience with, recommend? Or does it depend on mom/baby dyad?

I have contacted them myself and ordered, then they had a distribution
agreement with someone in Florida, and wouldn't sell to me anymore, now
it seems that is no longer valid and a few people are importing them.
Info Kaweco <[log in to unmask]> is their email, sometimes you have to nag a
few times before they answer you. Ann Conlon Smith at Triangle Lactation
is ordering them regularly and is willing to resell.

I used to buy them in bulk and resell for cost at LCinPP, now I just
have European friends order them for me when I'm going to be in Europe
to lecture. I no longer have enough to share. Hope this helps.

Cathy

We have recently seen several mothers with very large nipples whose infants have had difficulty latching and we wondered about the effectiveness of this product. Can the average-sized term newborn's oral cavity accommodate this size of nipple shield or is it better to encourage mom to pump until the baby grows?
