Dear Lactnet Friends:
Kathryn Hobbs asks about recurring blebs.
After the nipple pore is cleared, does the parent express milk out of that
duct until it runs clear?
What can happen is that the milk behind the bleb thickens as it is stuck.
So when the bleb is removed, that milk may be thick enough to reform the
bleb. At least, this is what is imagined to be occurring.
If you do a Lactnet search for Diane DiSandro's red marble in a bag of
white marbles massage post, you can encourage the parent to do a vigorous
expression and massage session after the bleb is removed. (Or maybe
someone has saved it and will share that great post?)
warmly,--
