Dear Trisha,
I think the key is to avoid "recommending" anything and just share 
accurate medical and/or clinical based information. The LLL phrase "many 
mothers have found..." serves well. Also, giving the mothers 
"suggestions that some mothers have found to help" and asking mothers to 
"consider" some options. You also need to know your stuff. For herbs as 
an example, you should not "suggest" an herb that may be harmful to that 
particular mother. You need to fully understand what you are 
"suggesting" before you suggest it.
