Thanks for thinking about donating the milk - referrals are greatly appreciated!

HMBANA milk banking guidelines require us to defer milk pumped by donors taking domperidone/reglan, as well as herbal galactagogues.    

If a potential donor has milk pumped without drugs/herbal support, the "age" of the milk banks can accept varies from bank to bank, following a guideline that is usually set by the medical director of that bank.  A general range is 2 - 6 months if stored in a refrigerator freezer (attached to a fridge that is used daily), and anywhere from 5 - 9 months in a deep freeze/chest freezer.  Call your local milk bank for more information; you can find them by going to hmbana.org
