I have often wondered whether amniotic fluid would be beneficial as a supplement, especially for the very premature babies.  As they are often born surgically, perhaps some of the fluid could be suctioned into syringes to feed to them before even colostrum.  They digest it prenatally, so it would seem to follow that they could digest it postnatally.   Perhaps someone who works with preemies will do this study.
