Alcohol
"It is most reassuring to know that maternal blood alcohol levels must reach 300 mg [ethanol] in 100 mL blood before affecting the infant considerably. Mothers consuming alcohol can resume breastfeeding after moderate alcohol use as soon as the effects of the alcohol have passed, which is about (one)1 hour from the end of consumption. Healthcare professionals should recommend interrupting breastfeeding as needed when the mother consumes more than one drink per hour."
