I am trying to find a reference from way back when. This article referred to an observation of women in a developing country where the practice was women using a birthing hut I believe, mother and baby wrapped together after birth. It reported babies latching on for a minute or two every hour or so after birth and milk starting to come in very early. Am I imagining this or not? Recently my daughter delivered and I noticed this 24 hour beginning milk surge breast fullness by 48 hours and baby gulping. And this was a csection but baby put skin to skin with dad and mom immediately. I have been asked to talk about early breastfeeding and would like to include reference if anyone knows about or remembers this one.
