Melinda, I'm interested in _your_ findings about whether topical abx eg
mupirocin or APNO work to treat sore nipples due to bacterial infections??
As I said, I found that topical mupirocin did not work - but maybe you
found that it did???

Pamela (learning every day....!)

I'm surprised to read Pamela's comment that topical abx usually won't treat
nipple infection. I'd been doing milk cultures but not swabbing nipples,
thinking that systemic meds wouldn't be required for it and using
mupirocin or APNO empirically.
I'll need to start culturing nipples, perhaps when topical so fail. Other
advice/ experience would be welcome
