Hi all, I have not come across this before and am seeing conflicting information out there--seeking your thoughts. Posting with permission from a family member. She just noticed mold in one of her pump tubes and is unsure about dumping the milk she has pumped over the last week (and is storing for returning to work) using that tubing. She's using a Medela Pump n Style--so not a closed system...but oddly one of the references I saw came from Medela saying that there was no concern of mold contacting the pumped milk, which I believe is inherently not true, even if it is a low risk--hence the recommendations for not pump-sharing single-user pumps. I imagine the risk is small, however, I thought I would tap you all for your experience with this. Throw out the pumped milk or keep it??
Thank you!
