When I was volunteering in a military peds clinic as the IBCLC (really same
as you all inpatient and outpatient lactation), I allocated 45 minutes per
outpatient. if I did not have another patient scheduled immediately after I
often spent more time. Of course I was a volunteer and had more control
over my time.
