Hi Debbie,
For the last 10 days the baby has been refusing (again) to breastfeed. Mum is saying that if she offers she looks like she wants to feed and then won't - which is being interpreted as being due to feeding being uncomfortable. So she's currently exclusively ng tube fed.
Hope that helps,
El.

Hello Eleanor,
I would like to comment but need to first ask for clarification.
Is the baby accepting the breast at present? This part of your post sounds like the baby will accept the breast: "hyper-sensitive gag reflex, can't tolerate bottle, dummy, sns or other oral methods that aren't breast," but this sounds as though the baby isn't breastfeeding now: "The over-riding question is, "how do we get back to some breastfeeding?" Please clarify how the baby is being fed now.
With best regards,
Debbie
