Bronwyn I had one that kept doing that until I sterilised a pair of fine sharp nail scissors and trimmed off a little of the middle loose skin. Left a small exposed patch on which I smeared a tiny bit of lanolin and expressed breastmilk, glued the edges down. Healed up. I wouldn't do this to anyone else but I always knew where the scissors were on my nipple: ultra-sensitive. Can this mother try this herself?
