Very interesting insight and comments about this. In Minnesota, USA, all the mothers I meet really want a breast pump! they make sure they get their breast pump by time of discharge. About pumping to increase milk supply. Some women will do it and some will not. I spoke with a colleague about this and she said 'I don't exercise like I should.' I want to lose weight, but I don't want to do what it takes to lose weight. Those are 2 different questions. (my hubby and I are mostly eating low carb/low sugar for 2 months). I still believe in meeting a mother where she is and any breastfeeding is better than no breastfeeding. Susan in Minnesotarn ibclc
