Hi Jacquie, I would consider offering her a nipple shield.I would also recommend pumping 2-4 x per day, after some feedings, to preserve/promote a plentiful milk supply. The past month I have seen 2 mothers in the clinic whose milk supplies dropped when baby was 2 months old. the only problem I could ascertain was tongue tie.Susan in Minnesota rn, ibclc
