Hi!  

It can definitely be confusing!  CERPs are intended for current IBCLCs - the IBLCE says a CERP "meets the professional education needs of practicing IBCLCs".  If your audience is not IBCLCs then a CERP would not be the appropriate continuing education credit.  

Perhaps ask your audience what type of continuing ed they need?  I imagine some non-IBCLC certifications do accept CERPs if a certain amount of education is expected.  However, for education to be awarded CERPs it needs to be geared towards practicing IBCLCs.
