Shekoli:
This has come up twice this week. I always suggest directly applying
breastmilk to eczema.
This week, people want to add it to the bath. Doesn't that dilute it? I
guess there is something to be said about warm water opening pores, but
when it works best directly, I don't understand why people want to dilute
it. And dilute it to the point that one mom wants to pump a full bottle on
top of her nursing a 6 day old baby to put it in the water.
I took a quick gander at research and anecdotal evidence: direct is best
and that is what I tell clients.
