I have no firm answers for what is going on with this mom. However, it
seems the nipple is healed, although it seems to have a permanently missing
small part. I am theorizing that there is / are sphincters of a sort there.
And now, this mini / micro sphincter has been removed via the bite. It
would seem that this mother might have to deal with this leaking from now
on, or at least until her milk supply diminishes more via the natural
process of weaning.

I think the good news is that the nipple did heal, the milk supply was
maintained even without breastfeeding on that time for a week or so. I
would direct mother to explore leak management options such as pads, cups,
etc which ladies use to catch excess milk.

Bites and other nipple injuries are extremely painful, and toddler
breastfeeding can be rewarding as well as a real challenge.
