Hi!

Just last week a single mom told me that after her baby was delivered, she
was allowed about a minute of skin to skin contact; then the baby was taken
for ped checkup, and returned to her a few minutes later clothed and
wrapped. The baby was thus placed in her arms. The hospital porter was
called in to wheel her on the bed from the birthing ward to her room.
Everyone left the birthing room, and just before he started to wheel the
bed out, the porter shyly smiled at her and said: "I´ve read that it´s
better if you unwrap the baby and place her skin to skin." The mom, who had
known this but did not have the strenght to "face up" to the medical staff,
did just that.

She considered that porter her baby´s guardian angel :)
