Can a mother who had no symptoms of hypothyroidism during pregnancy but has
low milk supply be tested for hypothyroidism before six weeks post partum?
Would the normal fluctuations of thyroid function in the period of time
before 6 weeks skew results and make treatment inadvisable? Also, are there
now any tests for PCOS other than high androgen and insulin levels? Are
these indicative of insulin resistance? I'm trying to help a mom get to
the root cause of her low supply and she is now 3 weeks PP. Thank you in
advance for helping me understand this.
