Hi, All,
Thanks to those who responded to my post yesterday. Just saw this client.
The cracks which are bleeding are the healing cracks from baby latching in
the beginning. The Lactina was completely re-opening them despite bigger
and smaller flanges, lanolin or coconut oil etc. We tried her with the
Hygeia pump in the office and she immediately stated it felt comfortable!
BTW, I have no financial interest in either company. This is the 3rd mom
who has reported that the Hygeia pump worked better for her.

I have also referred her to a near-by breastfeeding medicine doc and
suggested that she ask about having the wound examined/cultured as it
should have healed by this time.

Mom left feeling encouraged and hopeful to get to some direct breastfeeding
soon.
Thanks again!
Michele
