I love the listserve.  Don't recall when I joined...maybe back in the 90s as a LLL Leader to learn, and then started participating sometime after accreditation as an IBCLC.   What I love about the listserve is the professionalism, and the number of people with various expertise that comment.  Everyone at all levels of knowledge is welcome.  I love the archives, as well.

I also participate on the Facebook group.  One big difference is time of response.  FB operates more in real time, which is great if you want a couple answers quickly.  The downside is your post might get buried because there are so many posts.   Also, since FB is real time, there isn't an obligation to "search the archives" before asking your question.  :)  

I think there is a need for both.  With that said, I shall now start a new thread with a question.
