This may be a very silly question but has this baby had regular and vigilant cleaning/brushing of the teeth?
Also, does baby consume anything else such as juice?
I work with a dental therapist who noted many toddlers with decay of front teeth - many parents upon questioning have admitted to not brushing routinely, hence buildup of bacteria leading to decay.
Another thought - is child receiving fluoridated water?
I bf a lip tied child for close to three years. We routinely brushed teeth at least three times daily and her drink of choice other than mm was our fluoridated water. No cavities.
Worked with a child and mom from neighbouring community drinking well water, night feeding, brushing routinely, and had decay of front teeth. She was also told to wean but refused. Rather stepped up her care of baby's teeth and obtained fluoridated water from our community. His secondary teeth are beautiful.
So many factors to consider.
