I have tried mightily (between belly laughs) to avoid writing any
limericks. When in high school and college I wrote lots of poetry (some
even got published!), but never a limerick. So here is one poor
contribution. Take pity on me; my fingers could not be controlled, perhaps
because my brain is on idle.
There once was a gal named Sal
She wanted to breastfeed Cal
Her doctor said no,
and so did her pal
But she did what was best
and put Cal to her breast!
The gods of limerick Heaven must surely be quaking
while even their sides, they are aching
from all the attempts
harrumphs and ahemphs
from Lactnetters'
poems we are making, :-O
Def. of LC service: "We are all faced with a series of great opportunities
brilliantly disguised as impossible situations."
