Some suggestions for ILCA packing: light weight fabrics are best. Avoid
tightly woven synthetics. They look cool but create an oven around you. A
light cotton sweater or unlined windbreaker-type jacket might be in order for
cold drafts from air conditioning. A good sun block is mandatory if you are to
spend any time outside. Bring a bathing suit! The Hyatt has 10 (count-em)
pools. One is adults only. No privacy, but no 14 year olds doing cannon balls
or 6 year olds playing Marco-Polo. Rare is the restaurant that requires ties on
men in the summer. YES on shorts and sandals. I personally prefer pants like
chinos or loose light denim jeans. Cotton t-shirts, w/ & w/o s.sleeves & gauze
or wrinkled cotton skirts are popular here.

I remember, years ago, a World Premier of a movie, the first and LAST in
Phoenix. It made the 10pm news. As the audience filed out of the theater,
there were Charleton Heston & wife, all the actors & production big wigs with
their tuxedoes and formal dresses - and there were the good people of Phoenix
with their cut-offs, t-shirts & sandals. You should have seen the wooden smile
on Heston's face! Well, what do you expect at a summer movie?!

The custody decision should be public record. Is it possible for you to get a
citation for me so I can read the decision?
Maricopa County Superior Court has written general guidelines for custody
rulings. Summary of the Infants - 6 months category:
Basic access (minimum standards): Access to children should be brief but
frequent throughout the week. Schedules permitting, two-hour visitations are
recommended three times a week, with the addition of four hours on a weekend day
over time.
Optional access (more liberal): One visit each week after the birth, progressing
to three or four visits a week of four hours each, with a weekend overnight stay
suggested.
Other categories are for 6 months to 3 years, 3 to 5 years, 6 to 12 years, and
13+ years.
BTW: I love the Rubber Udder Award. We should use it as a media
attention-getter, but we need a similar award to recognize positive events or
actions. Ideas?

P.S.: June was great this year! It didn't get over 110F once! Average
beginning of the monsoon season is July 8. That's when it blows a little
(dust), followed by a little rain (dirty spots on the car), sometimes with
lightning (get out of the pool), but to passes as quickly as it comes and we
hardly notice it happened. You know its coming when you see activity in the
southeast, like BIG black clouds above a smaller brown cloud that is traveling
about 30 mph. Humidity climbs to a headline-producing 35% to 50%. But then, we
have absolutely fantastic sunsets! and 180 degrees of sky. No closed-in feeling
like you get Back East where hills get in the way. For those of you making a
vacation of it, you can find any terrain or climate within 2 hours of Phoenix.
Flagstaff is a mile high! with climate to match. Come & enjoy!
Phyllis
