While pregnant and breastfeeding women are exempt from fasting during
Ramadan, they are required to make it up at another time. Most women do not
want to fast on their own, so they will choose to fast during Ramadan. It is
concerning when Ramadan occurs during the summer months -- like now -- the
days are very long and hot, and drinking fluids is prohibited. Not so bad
when it occurs during the winter months....

Saturday from living and working in Jordan for the past 6+ years. I'm going
to miss Jordan, but boy, will it be nice having them on the same continent!
