Back to the basic problem. Other specialties have basic studies and are licensed.
We've come a long way, but still have a way to go . We can't limit who can become an LC with odd courses here and there. We have to think globally. The online sessions are just great. Experience still has to count. Pat in SNJ, a LLLL, turned RN, turned IBCLC, turned APN ( I only got the RN because I wanted to teach childbirth classes at the time, LOL. I call them Magic initials. Everything I learned early on I got from LLLI., reading, reading, reading and being a leader)
