My understanding is this contains B vitamins and will not hurt, but is not currently a "go to" galactagogue. Mother's still use fenugreek, fennel, blessed thistle. Also the newest thing is mulungay (also called moringa) not sure I spelled the first one right, but is a green leafy plant and can get pills I think.
The research shows that the foundation of establishing or increasing milk production is frequent, EFFECTIVE removal of milk, and thorough breast drainage.
Mothers with insulin resistance or gestational diabetes might benefit from the drug metformin (Glucophage) and I understand some research is underway.
