Hi all:
I am wondering if anyone, employed in a hospital setting, has a policy in place for the use of informal milk sharing/wet nursing. (for example, a baby needs extra milk for low blood sugars, mom's own milk is not available, there is no milk bank, and mom does not want to use formula, so she brings in milk from a lactating relative or friend)
This has not happened yet, but it very likely will in the future, and we would like to be prepared.  Any suggestions, and if you have a policy and /or consent form/waiver, would you be willing to share?
