My main concern about the kiinde system is the  one-time use of the pouches and tossing it into the landfill. I know that it advertises the decrease in contamination, but what about expressing into bottles and then using the bottles directly? I know that this is a reasonable option, I did this >20 years ago. Bottles can be rewashed and used again, decreasing waste. Besides, how many babies are becoming sick or dying in countries from contaminated mother's own milk where the kiinde system can be afforded?  IF we talk about contamination of milk to our mothers by expressing and storing in other ways, we arouse anxiety about breastfeeding and milk storage.
Breastfeeding becomes much less 'green' if we encourage people to use throwaway feeding systems.
