Nikki Lee writes in response to the thread on starting solids/exclusive
breastfeeding:
<<At the same time, I always wonder: what happened to listening to the
baby?
As with walking, every baby is ready on its own timetable.>>
Nikki, my friend, whatever are you thinking? LISTEN to the baby? What do
babies know? They are all the same, to be put in the same box and treated
exactly the same way -- AND, if you follow this program totally, they will
all sleep through the night at 8 weeks.
I mean, if Babywise says it, it must be true. No?
Thank heavens for Dr. Sears and his books and above all, "Sweet Sleep" who
actually think babies are humans, not robots.
Jan Barger, RN, MA, IBCLC, FILCA who is very tired of "wake the baby and
feed every 3 hours for 15 minutes on each side."
