I supported by phone a friend and LLLLeader, who was helping a young mother several years ago that she knew socially. Very supportive breastfeeding family, good birth etc. baby just wouldn't latch. The family enabled her to hang out skin to skin, pretty much 24/7, hand express milk which was spoon / dripped into baby for almost 2 weeks and baby finally latched. Very baby led through the process.
Don't know if that helps, but sometimes a mom just needs to know she isn't alone and to not give up. Keep baby hydrated, keep supply strong and patience.

The infant is mildly jaundiced. Mother attempts breastfeediing around the clock but the baby just won't latch on. I am stumped. Any suggestions?
