Dear Lactnet Friends:
I would like the web group to stay active because not everyone is Facebook
comfortable.
When I heard about Lactnet in the early 90s, about a year after it started,
I joined. I was fearful about making any post at all until I felt it was
well-written and alright. I spent a long time composing posts, not wanting
to waste anyone's time.
I got over that quickly!!!
This community is important; I've learned so much and am so grateful to the
listmothers for creating our wonderful forum.
Lactnet on the web is kind and respectful, unlike the Facebook page where
folks can make a hit-and-run post. On Lactnet, controversy was usually
collegial and professional; again, this is unlike Facebook.
I feel that there is more contact in posts here than on Facebook; posts are
often longer and many times accompanied with research.
warmly,
--
