PTP.
Saw a new 12 mo old for a routine physical.
The kid is on artificial milks since 3 mo of age secondary to "some
breastfeeding problems and low milk supply"
On dental evaluation - significant lip tie, very wide diastema and
"white spots" (pre-caries) on the central upper incisors.
Interestingly enough - mom is diligent about dental hygiene and there is
no bed-time bottle feedings as the older kid had a lot of caries.
Did not see older kid yet, but per mom- there is a positive family
history of lip tie with one of her relatives requiring surgery in middle
school for speech problems.
