The AAP states "for breastfed infants delay pacifier introduction until 1 month of age to ensure that breastfeeding is firmly established." Will that shut them up? Pat in SNJ
PS: Pacifier use has been repeatedly shown to reduce duration of breastfeeding.

Hi and thank you so much to everyone who helped me find the" inside
tracks". I have been challenged by a peer to have evidence based research
on pacifier use and BFHI. Can someone direct me to a source where I can
find this research information. We are in the dissemination phase now , and
I am getting a strong feeling that there will be push back as far "show me
the evidence" on many areas. I did a search on JHL but had a problem using
the correct search term. Information came up on SIDS and pacifiers. Thank
you Germaine
