I sat the first exam in 1985.  So far I've taken it 3 times and have been working in lactation all along.  I'll be due to sit the exam in 2016 - just one year before I can retire.  I agree with other first year and early exam takers, enough is enough.  Taking the initial exam and recertifying by cerps should be enough.



Actually, I've always thought those of us who sat the first exam should never have had to re-take it because that requirement wasn't set or announced until later.
