I also believe this baby needs a g-tube. NG tubes get pulled out . . . a
lot! This means a nurse has to be available to go to the home to reinsert
or the family has to make a trip to the ER. Someone should educate the
mother about the Mic-Key Button. Have her do some research on her own as
well. Google images can show her pictures of babies and children with it.
This device is so easy to use, lies flat against the body, and can be easily
replaced by a parent if either pulled out, gets clogged, or simply needs
replacement. The mother might be afraid of her child undergoing a surgical
procedure and having anesthesia. Perhaps a doctor can talk to her about the
benefits vs the risks. The risks are very minimal, but the benefits are
huge.
