Dear Rachel
I remember reading in Hilary Jacobson’s book "Mother Food", (I borrowed from our local La Leche League Library a few years ago ;-), that high doses of Vitamin C is one of the possible Anti-Lactogenic foods for low milk supply. I can’t remember the reason – maybe something to do with vasoconstriction? Can’t find research to back this up. Anyway, not something I will recommend for mothers already having milk supply issues, as milk supply or pumping output from the affected breast during Mastitis/plugged ducts may decrease temporarily. Just my 2 cents…..
Take care and all best with your studies!
