Hi Cindy,
Here are some questions that come to mind. You have probably thought of
them too :)
- Is she using the NICU's freezer, or the one in her own home?
- Is everything else in the freezer freezing?
- Has she tried freezing cow's milk in that freezer?
- Has ANY of her milk EVER frozen? If so, were the circumstances
different in any way?
- Was there more milk in each of this mother's bags than usual?
- Were her bags squished together?
- Were the bags placed at the back of the freezer or near the door?
- Is there any chance she could have had alcohol in her milk? (Yes, I know
it dissipates, but if the milk was pumped and frozen immediately..?)
- Does this mother have an unusually high proportion of fat in her milk?
I love/hate these mysteries!
