Hi all:
We are currently in the process of developing some guidelines for prenatal expression of colostrum. Our OB's are OK with moms starting this at about 38 weeks. We would especially like to touch base with our Gestational Diabetic clients, and are looking at setting up a referral system with our GD clinic. Just wondering if anyone has anything they could share about this, including guidelines or a policy, and handouts for the moms. Keeping in mind correct storage and administration of EBM, what kind of storage containers are recommended for this, and labeling of the containers?
Thanks in advance,
Doreen Vanderstoep, RN, IBCLC
