"Back in the day" the Womanly Art (1958) and Karen Pryor (1963) were the only 2 books on breastfeeding for moms! Karen Pryor and her daughter , Gale revised NYB in 1991.I found the Womanly Art and NYB in 1966 when I first went to a  LLL meeting and was finally able to successfully breastfeed my 4th baby, who is now almost 49 years old.
