Two hints for choppy jaw movements. Try supporting either under the
tongue (fingertip pressure both upward into the mouth and toward the
breast) or the jaw (fingertip pressure in front of the tragus of the ear
(the little flap that you can use to seal the ear canal when you want to
block out noise!). Photos of the former in SSS and the latter on my
website under supportive techniques. Use whichever one works better.

She has very choppy jaw movements at the breast even though her tongue stays over her gums while breastfeeding. I have suggested body-work and possible re-evaluation for restrictive frenulae if body-work does not resolve sucking issues.
