Rooibos tea in indigenous to South Africa. I drink it most days. It contains no caffeine, is high in antioxidants and is good for digestion problems. It has been punted for all sorts of cures - including a cure for colic. At one time, (due to clever marketing) many babies were given bottles of rooibos tea (instead of bottles of water). However, this is in violation of the Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes as it is a replacement for breastmilk. I know of no independent studies to show it helps with colic in babies.
