Young mom with ulcerative colitis had her large intestine removed and a "J" pouch made.  Had a 5lb 11oz baby at 35 weeks who has now hit due date.  PTT, nursing w a shield, also pumping/topping with bottle.  Baby now at 7lb 8oz.  Mom exhausted, has very little appetite, has difficulty staying hydrated.  Also often avoids eating in order to avoid many trips to the bathroom.  Taking Percoset for pain.  She got sick while deployed - it's been a very long couple of years for her.  She's committed to breastfeeding/breastmilk, but wants to make sure all is well with baby since she has this illness.  Anyone have experience or info to share?  Thanks!
