Me too (car seat police)! Since they all drag their babies into my
office in the car seat, I use it as an opportunity to teach them how to
use them properly (was an Emergency Medical Technician during my
university days and never, NEVER want to see another baby with a skull
fracture!)
The swaddling craze is partly responsible for improper car seat use - no
way to safely buckle a 5 point restraint when babe is swaddled, and they
are always swaddled. Sigh.

here is the face - but what a horrible, dangerous, inappropriate way to
buckle the newborn in a 5 point restraint (or in any car seat for that
matter). I'd bet his father (pilot as far as I remember) is not buckling
himself like that when he is on duty :( Alla (car seat police in my
office) Alla Gordina, MD, IBCLC, FAAP
