Last week spoke to a mother on the phone who thought she may have FH imbalance - described typical symptoms. She did blocked feedings for 24 hours. Called back next day and said symptoms were improving. She called yesterday and said - baby appears better except for evening/nighttime hours where baby is very fussy and appears in pain in her stomach and stomach makes 'rumbling noise'. Baby also had one bout of green/yellow stools with small trace of blood in it but this only happened in the morning. Her stools in the evening are normal.
Mother will write a food diary but she states there is nothing that she eats the same in the evening.

These were my thoughts:

I was also thinking along the lines of maybe an ear infection or reflux but these symptoms don't happen during the daytime naps.

FH imbalance - but stools are normal in the evening and in the evening mother feels breast are much softer

Allergy - behavior only happens at nighttime

I will be seeing mother later this week and will do a weight check and pre/post feeding weight. along with assessing the feeding and looking at her food diary. Does anyone have any other suggestions.
