A mother who is a nurse caring for patients having chemotherapy called to make sure it is not harmful to her baby since she is breastfeeding. I told her that using her customary precautions for herself - protective clothing, gloves, etc. - will keep her from having direct contact with the chemo drugs which should therefore not be in her system or harm her baby. I would love to have a specific reference for this. Please share if you know of something.
Many thanks,
