Good question.
and I remember sending a family home with 5fr feeding tube and syringe and
they said that after several weeks, the tip had broken off. Since then, I
cut the end of the feeding tube off -- the part where the holes in the side
of the tube are-- as this is where it had weakened and broken for that one
family.
Similarly: These devices have not "official" recommendations for use this
way: Which reminds me of the Lactaid mini pouch which the company says is
one-use disposable but many reuse.
