Dear Lactnet Friends:
200,000+ years of bed-sharing with mother and baby; all the evidence
showing how it makes breastfeeding easier; and now this one study showing
that bed-sharing and bonding have an inverse relationship?
What population? Why were they bed-sharing? What was the intention of the
researchers? Was it to support the SIDS recommendations, i.e. "Not only is
bed-sharing like taking a sharp knife to bed with you, it also makes you
dislike your baby."
Give me a break. However, like Heather, I am curious about this study.
warmly,
