Dear Lactnet Friends:
My understanding is that this topic has 2 different schools of though. One,
should premies grow according to a placental model, the way they would grow
if they had remained in utero? Or, should they grow the way term babies
grow once they are born?
According to Schanler, premies fed human milk grow more slowly. And they
are more like to survive.
What do you all think?
