For those of you who work in hospitals that use bar code scanning for breast milk, would you be able to send me a copy of your units policy? We use EPIC for charting, and are in the process of going to a central storing system, and need to create a policy for scanning. Mostly wondering how to you check in milk that mother brings in? What are you scanning, the medical record number, or a different code? We are also going to be utilizing donor milk on our unit (YEAY) and how to scan that for use. I really appreciate any help I can get with this. Thanks!
